Glass handrails from Vitro America are designer and decorator favorites because they are functional as well as beautiful. The "see-through" effect of glass handrails complemented by the subtle color tints of the glass create endless decorating opportunities that please the eye. Our standard handrail caps are available in striking aluminum, brass, stainless steel and selected hardwoods. Though standard styles are available, handrail caps can be custom designed and produced to your specific needs. Bases are available in anodized, brass or stainless steel clad, or painted.

Handrail glass is 1/2" tempered glass, available in clear, bronze and grey. Glass is always horizontally tempered to eliminate tong marks and tong mark distortion. Vitro America's Glass Handrailing is a system of metal components for use with 1/2" tempered glass panels as structural balusters. Caps are supplied in aluminum, brass, stainless steel & selected hardwoods; together with end caps, internal splice connectors and corner sections.

Aluminum bases are designed to support a load of 200 lbs. applied at any point at the top of a railing up to 42" in height. All five sections can be surface mounted, either exposed or with a sheet metal cover matching other metal trim or set flush with the floor surface. Panels are field set in the base, using an expansion type cement. Handrail caps can be supplied with brackets for a matching wall-mounted system.
